Chevron Tile Floors: How Ligne Brisée Black Makes Zigzag the Star of the Room

Some patterns whisper; the zigzag speaks up. Chevron tile floors bring instant movement to a room, and our Ligne Brisée Black design does it the artisan way: hand-poured cement tile with a crisp black-and-white zigzag that reads modern from across the room and handmade up close. It’s part of our in-stock collection, shipping from Laredo, TX to anywhere in the U.S.

Why zigzag works

The chevron’s diagonal lines pull the eye forward, which visually stretches hallways, galley kitchens and narrow bathrooms. Unlike wood-look chevron planks, cement tile chevron delivers the pattern in a single 8×8 tile — no miter cuts, no herringbone install premium. Your installer lays a standard grid; the pattern does the rest.

Where to use it

Kitchens: black-and-white hides daily wear and pairs with any cabinet color you’ll ever choose. Bathrooms: a zigzag floor turns a builder-grade bath into the room guests talk about. Living rooms and entries: run it wall-to-wall and let furniture float above the pattern.

In bathrooms, the pattern earns its keep in just a few square feet.

Styling the zigzag

Treat the floor as the room’s graphic element: white or warm-neutral walls, wood or matte-black furniture, and one accent color repeated in textiles. If you love pattern but fear commitment, zone it — a zigzag “rug” under the dining table framed by plain tile. And because it’s cement tile, the color is pigment all the way through: it wears, it doesn’t wear out.
